Soundality Event Terms and Conditions for Face-to-Face and Online Courses:

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you acknowledge that Soundality Pty Ltd is an independent service provider licensed by Sounds-Write Ltd. These terms and conditions relate to the 6-week Sounds-Write practitioners' online course and the 4-day face to face Sounds-Write course.

We understand that circumstances can change between the time of booking and payment and undertaking your actual course. It is for this reason we try to accommodate requests for changes as much as is practical as well under Australian Consumer Law obligations.

By registering and paying for a specific course you agree to taking an allocated place in that course. There are often waiting lists for courses and non-refundable expenses involved. We urge you to notify Soundality in writing as soon as possible to any change in your circumstances that might impact on your course participation.

Sounds-Write Training Packages:

Package 1: Individual

Includes:

  • Sounds-Write manual & training materials
  • Free LIFETIME access to the new Sounds-Write Practitioners’ Portal
  • Free place in a future Sounds-Write Revisited course (valued at $192.50)

Package 2: Schools and Organisations

Available to schools and organisations committed to training a minimum of 5 staff members within a 2-year period.

  • All participants receive the Sounds-Write manual & training materials
  • All participants receive get free, LIFETIME access to the new Sounds-Write Practitioners’ Portal
  • All participants receive a free place in a future Sounds-Write Revisited course (valued at $192.50)
  • 1 x FREE place for a member of the senior leadership team in the Sounds-Write Practitioners’ Online Training (valued at $1089)
  • 1 x FREE place for the Sounds-Write Masterclass: 'Leading Phonics in Your School' (valued at $528)
  • 1 x FREE place for the Sounds-Write Masterclass: 'Teaching Phonics as an Intervention' (valued at $192.50)

You acknowledge and agree that by signing up to the Organisation & Schools Package you commit to submitting five (5) members of your organisation’s staff to complete the Sounds-Write Practitioners training course ("Sounds-Write Training") over a two (2) year period and using best endeavours to ensure that each member of staff completes such Sounds-Write Training.

The two (2) year period shall commence on the date that the first trainee attends the Sounds-Write Training (“Training Window”).

In the event that five (5) members of staff do not undertake the Sounds-Write Training within the Training Window, you will be liable to Sounds-Write for the per head training fee payable for each member of staff not trained, calculated in accordance with Sounds-Write then-current prices.

Payment

Payment in full is required prior to the start of the course to secure attendance. By registering and paying for attendance at a specific course you agree to taking a place allocated to you on that course.

Cancellations & Transfers

We understand that circumstances can change, and we want to fairly accommodate your needs and ours wherever possible in a fair and reasonable way.

CANCELLATION WITH MORE THAN 14 DAYS NOTICE: If you are unable to attend the course and wish to cancel your attendance, you must notify Soundality more than 14 days prior to the commencement date of the course and, for online courses, return the Sounds-Write manual and materials at your cost as soon as reasonably possible. If they are damaged, the cost for reprinting or replacement will be deducted from your refunded registration fee. You will receive your course fee refunded minus a $100 administration fee.

CANCELLATION 14 DAYS OR LESS PRIOR TO COURSE COMMENCEMENT: If you cancel your registration 14 days or less before the course starts or, for online courses within the first week of the online course (Week 0), you will receive your course fee refunded minus a $200 fee. For online courses, you must return the Sounds-Write manual and materials at your cost as soon as reasonably possible. If they are damaged, the cost for reprinting or replacement will be deducted from your refunded registration fee.

TRANSFER TO NEXT AVAILABLE COURSE (Online courses only): If you find yourself unable to commence the allocated course, you can request a transfer to another upcoming course. This can only be done within a 3-month period. This will incur an administrative fee of $100, payable prior to being given access the new course.

Soundality Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel any course. In the unlikely event a specific workshop is cancelled, participants will be contacted as soon as is reasonably possible to arrange a transfer to an alternative workshop date or receive a full refund (less any credit card processing surcharge fees, where applicable). Soundality assumes no responsibility for airline tickets, accommodation, deposits or any other expenses incurred due to course cancellations.
